To use a sporting cliche, Fingier is back with a disc of two halves and both sides are bang on target. Santa Fiebre, we are told, is 'a red hot Buenos Aires Rhythm and Soul outfit' and frankly i wouldn't disagree with that statement based on whats going on here. Thats where we go is a dirty Rhythm and Blues rocker that could sit in a mod or rockin set and always get a receptive crowd. all the elements are there parping brass, handclaps, shoo wops and neat sax solo walking all over the place, its a riot of fun and sure to feature on dancefloors across the MCM music scenes. Some would say the 2 minutes duration is far too short but its just perfect. Earthsplosion is an instrumental workout that is funked to the max and one for b-boys to dominate on the dancefloor, second half hints towards some Afro-funk and then kicks straight up into JB's brass stylings... hectic but in a controlled way, its all going on here!
You can pick this up at the Acid Jazz site or head over the the Bandcamp to grab yourself a copy. Fingier releaes tend to sell out quickly so if any of this is yer bag then you know what to do!
